Standard cleaning covers regular surface dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom sanitization, and kitchen counter wipe-downs. Deep cleaning is recommended for first-time visits or homes not professionally cleaned in 3+ months, including detailed baseboard scrubbing, interior window panes, inside oven, and heavy limescale descaling.

When is my payment card charged?

When you book, a temporary pre-authorization hold is placed on your card to reserve your cleaner. Your card is only captured and billed once the clean is completed and verified.

What is the 20-hour cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel free of charge up to 20 hours before your scheduled booking. If cancelled within 20 hours of start time, a 50% standby fee applies to compensate your cleaner. Cancellations under 2 hours or lockouts are charged the full amount.

How do cleaners receive payouts for completed jobs?

Accepted Answer

Cleaners connect their UK bank account via Stripe Connect. Payouts are transferred automatically on a daily rolling basis (2 business days post completion) or on a weekly/monthly schedule chosen in your payout settings.

What happens if my cleaner loses internet connection inside my home?

Accepted Answer

Agora operates with an offline-first architecture. Your cleaner can check in, check off room tasks, and take timestamped photos completely offline. All data automatically syncs to the server as soon as their device reconnects to Wi-Fi or mobile data.

How do cleaner profiles and reviews work?

Accepted Answer

Independent cleaners on Agora connect their bank accounts through Stripe Connect, declare their experience, and build an authentic reputation through verified customer reviews from real completed cleans.

Question 7

How can I exercise my GDPR right to delete my account?

Accepted Answer

You can delete your account at any time via Profile > Security > Delete Account in the mobile app, or by submitting a request at https://agora.cleaning/delete-account/. Your personal data is permanently erased within 30 days.
